Since I only have one gpu I am forwarding X11 to a laptop and running virt-manager from there, windows starts and works fine but on my main display I only get a blinking cursor after starting the vm.

Edit: Thanks to u/cybervseas and this post https://www.reddit.com/VFIO/comments/7kpw33/cant_passthrough_boot_gpu_did_i_miss_something/ I got the vm working.
I added a line to the xml file that points to the rom file to be used. You can get that file from https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/ , download gpu-z and dump it or any other way to get the rom of your gpu.
    
The last thing was changing some settings in grub. I added the kernel parameter 'nofb' and changed GRUB_GFXPAYLOAD from 'keep' to 'text' in the file at /etc/default/grub.
Everything seems to work now I am writing this from inside the vm and I had no problems with the driver installation it works the same way as if windows was the host os.

Guide how to make proper AA work in Mass Effect 3 on AMD GPUs
Hi,
I have spent a lot of hours figuring out how to get forcing AA through AMD driver in ME3 working (in ME2 you just need to use "Borderless window" instead of "Fullscreen") so I decided to make a guide and help others to make their ME3 more beautiful.
Here are some screenshots (more will be added later), open them in new window and zoom (such they are in they native resolution). Notice the difference on various edges.

AA stands for Anti Aliasing - techniques to reduce the amount of jagged edges in an image. AA can be divided into two kinds - Post Process and Normal/Real. Post-processing AA (such as FXAA, SMAA, MLAA or that natively included in ME3) usually have poor quality - they make image blurrier and remove only a few jagged edges, but they cost almost none performance and they are easy to implement. Normal AA (such as MSAA, SSAA or nVidia/AMD custom AA algorithms) costs A LOT of performance - but they are able to (almost) completely remove jagged edges and they do not blur the image. A big downside is the work needed to implement them (especially in today's games, that´s why you won´t see a new AAA game with MSAA/SSAA support).
AMD and nVidia GPU drivers are able to brute force real AA in old games (like ME3), but it is basically a hack - the way driver forces AA is really clunky. Getting AA to work in ME3 is a real hassle for both AMD and nVidia GPUs.
With nVidia you can use nVidia Inspector - after that you only need to pray and choose the right compatibility flag.
With AMD we have got the old RadeonPro software - for me, RadeonPro pushes the wrong compatibility flag and causes artifacts in the image. I haven´t figured out a way how to tell RadeonPro what compatibility flag I want to use, so I have figured out a way how to hack AMD driver so that it can hack ME3 to use MSAA/SSAA.

For this to work, we will need to change things quite deep in AMD driver - I will try to make all steps as clear as possible but remember this won´t be easy. Luckily, I think you can´t break anything in the process (by which I mean nothing that can´t be solved by simple driver uninstall and install), so no worry you will brick your GPU :) If you feel like this isn´t for you, you can try using AMD VSR or nVidia DSR (same technologies for different GPUs) - they allow you to run games in 4K on FulHD monitor (or other combination of resolutions), which works similarly like AA and produces fewer jaggies in image. The only problem I found is that user interface (UI) in 4K is really small, so you will need to install interface scaling mod.

If I haven't bored you yet we can get right into it :)

Step 1 - Download Atiapfxx.exe
This is a tool we will need to convert files from .blb to .xml and back. You can download it here https://mega.nz/#!vzJDRAST!jzT51VGDyvbxfMG_3EDsr_JtrCNPCFT1LrEfkpjXJOo - if the link is broken, try messaging me, if I won´t answer (I don´t visit Reddit much) try messaging user JonasBeckman on Guru3D forums, he has this tool too.
Step 2 - Change ME3 profile in Radeon driver
Now we need to change any profile, so that file that we will be changing gets loaded into memory. Because we are interested in Mass Effect 3, I advice changing Mass Effect 3 profile.
Warning - there might be more than one Mass Effect 3 profile in the driver. I recommend changing both.
Radeon driver ME3 profile
Green dots are setting we are interested in - set them to the same values as on the image.
Orange dots are optional - they slightly improve texture quality for little performance loss. I suggest to use them also, but they are not needed for the AA hack to work, it´s just a tip :)
Step 3 - Use the Atiapfxx.exe
Open CMD (command prompt). Done? Now you need to change directory to the one where you put the Atiapfxx.exe file - let´s say you downloaded it and put it on your desktop. So you will write in CMD:
cd C:/Users/xxxxx/Desktop
Where xxxxx is your user name.
Change directory in CMD
Now we need to get User.blb file from the driver and convert it to XML. Atiapfxx will do everything for us, we just need to write this piece of code in CMD:
atiapfxx -r -user -user.xml
This will create user.xml file on your desktop.
Get user.xml file
Step 4 - Changing the user.xml file
We will now do a few changes to the user.xml file we obtained in the previous step. Before you begin, I highly recommend doing all changes in some more advanced notepad than the one included in Windows - it will make your life easier. I use Notepad++.
We need to do three changes - add new Area in Properties, then add Profile using the Area we added and finally tell the driver to use our new profile when Mass Effect 3 is loaded. Might seem complicated, but basically you just inlay few lines of code.
Your user.xml file will look slightly different than mine, but as long as you use your brain and put things in the right places you should have no problem :)
First change - add these lines of code right before as shown on photos:

Now we need to add actual parameters. We will add them right before . Here are they:

The most important is CFAACaps - this is the compatibility flag. Note it´s value 0x2000F - you will maybe need to alter this number, as we will discuss later in Step 6.

Now we need to tell the driver to launch our profile when we launch Mass Effect 3. We will use this piece of code:

Note - you can only use this piece of code if your game is installed in the same folder as mine. If your path to the MassEffect3.exe is different, you need to change it in the Path="Here insert your path". You can find your path to MassEffect3.exe by right-clicking ME3 shortcut and selecting properties.

Last thing we need to do - remove ALL of these STX characters - otherwise they would produce errors:

Save the user.xml file.
Step 5 - Converting user.xml back to user.blb
After we have done all the changes and saved the user.xml file, we will convert it back to user.blb. You will do it with this command in command prompt:
atiapfxx -s user.xml -b user.blb
Note - if you have closed the command prompt, you need to open it and do the cd C:/Users/xxxxx/Desktop from Step 3
I will show you how it looks like if you do not delete all the STX characters as we did in the previous step:

If you have done everything right, you now should have a user.blb file on your desktop. All you need to do now is move that file to folder C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\ATI\ACE\APL where XXXX is your username.
Step 6 - Restart computer
Simply restart computer.
Now you should be able to launch ME3 and enjoy jaggy free image :)
If that´s not the case and AA is not working or you get artifacts - remember the CFAACaps we set in Step 4? You need to try another one (or rather dozen of other ones). Here are some compatibility flags that might (or might not) work:
0x2000F, 0x8, 0x1, 0x1B, 0x3, 0x8B, 0x9, 0x40000, 0xF, 0xB, 0x5, 0xA, 0xA0008
You should be able to find some other ones on internet too, but for me 0x2000F works perfectly.

If you want to disable changes we have done, visit Mass Effect 3 profile in Radeon settings and remove it. If you want to disable AA that we have forced, change "Anti-Aliasing mode" to "Use application settings"

Guys, I really need your help :( I was trying to find an answer for this error window but still can't compile! I have Visual Studio 2017 , UE4.17.
1)I have installed SDK windows 10 and 8.1 packages,game developping on C++ and developping classic programms on C++(in Visual Studio 2017 pro).
2)In UE4 launcher I changed :Edit->editor preferences->general-source code->Visual studio 2017
And the problem is:

Game won't start after recent update

So since the last patch, my game crashes on launch. The UE4 Logo appears, then it CTD.
Drivers are up to date (just checked) and I didn't change anything.
Reinstalling didn't fix it.

Help with crash?

I haven't played Squad for a while but I wanted to play it after I upgraded from a 660ti to a 1070 graphics card. It starts, I see the black screen with the dev logos and stuff then it just crashes. Here are my dump logs:

[Help] Help everything is crashing!

Hello I have an iPhone 6 (iOS 9.3.1) lately everything has been crash, Instagram is the only app that doesn't crash, I have CrashReporter installed and the notification I keep get is "PPNvwaSpriteDaemon" has crashed. There are no suspects.
